University GP Service
Welcome to the on-campus GP service for students and staff of The University of Manchester. The service is located on the 4th floor of Crawford House on Booth Street East.

The service is part of Better Health MCR, a not-for-profit group of three GP practices in Manchester.
If you are not a student or member of staff of The University of Manchester you may be able to register at one of our other practices.

The University GP Service is a branch site of The Robert Darbishire Practice and services are arranged through their website, where you can also register.
Register with a GP
The University of Manchester strongly advises its students to register with a GP as soon as possible.

You don't have to register with the on-campus service and there are others in the area.
Whichever GP practice you choose it's important that you register at the start of your student journey, so that healthcare is promptly available when you need it.
If you are a home student, you can access your home GP practice as a "temporary resident" if you need urgent care in the vacations. But your main registered practice should be in Manchester.
